Deep Book Club

I created a bi-monthly book club to discuss non-fiction books. Some are self-help, but we are mixing in some memoirs. We have grown to a group of nine women who are committed to this journey and are always supportive. We have created a safe space to share.

Podcasts

I explore podcasts on a daily basis with a growing list of favorites. I highly recommend "The Huberman Lab" podcast hosted by Andrew Huberman, Ph.D, who is a neuroscientist and a tenured professor at Stanford School of Medicine. I also love The Diary of a CEO with Steven Barlett. When I want to understand my mind and the people around me, I tune into Hidden Brain with Shankar Vedantam.

Girl from Wyoming

I am a girl that was raised on a farm in Wyoming. My work ethic is directly tied to the manual labor we did on the farm. Some days I wouldn't mind returning to the fields to pull a few weeds or shovel some dirt, but for the most part I am glad that education has provided a different path. I attended the University of Wyoming (Go Pokes). Family is everything, so I visit as often as possible. I also call my 95-year-old grandmother every Thursday and never run out of things to talk about. She ends every call with the words "Be Happy"!
